Based Telephony Systems Group CentPBX Corporation releases
their initial version of a Free Telephone PBX Software
System to the general public. The Software Distribution
provides PBX Telephone System functionality on standard PC
Hardware. The CentPBX software Package allows businesses and
consumers alike to provide Telephone System Functionality
rivaling systems offered by large Telephony and
Communications vendors for free.
The CentPBX project is an Open-Source Software solution that
provides a completely automated installation and
configuration of various telephony technologies that will
enable businesses to implement and manage Telephone System
Infrastructures within their organizations for little or no
cost. Telephone handsets available from a multitude of
vendors including, but not limited to Polycom, Aastra, Snom,
Grandstream, and Cisco are fully compatible with the
software.
CentPBX is designed to integrate fully with most public
telephone network technologies offered by Major
Telecommunications Carriers worldwide. Scalability of the
CentPBX infrastructure allows the system to manage up to
many thousands of telephone handsets across an unlimited
number of geographic locations.
Standard and Advanced Telephony System Features such as
Redundancy, Advanced Call Routing, Queuing, and Voice Over
IP (VOIP) Technology support allow implementers of the
software package to create a telephone system that will meet
or exceed the solutions offered by large telephone systems
vendors for no more than the cost of commodity PC hardware
potentially saving businesses Hundreds of Thousands or
Millions of dollars.

Implementation can exceed one Half a Million (500,000.00)
dollars for a large company, CentPBX can provide that same
functionality for less than one-tenth (1/10) the cost.
Service Charges for maintenance of such telephone systems
are eliminated with CentPBX by allowing customers to
configure and manage their telephone systems through an
easy-to-use web-based management system.
