		-- Northwest Medical Specialties (NWMS) is pleased to announce the 
		addition of Dr. Jorge Chaves to its team of cancer specialists. Dr. 
		Chaves brings to NWMS the latest medical strategies and a commitment to 
		improving cancer treatment through research and trials. His clinical 
		focus is colon cancer, prostate cancer, and breast cancer. 

		“I was drawn to NWMS because of its track record of solid evidence-based 
		medicine and its impressive list of clinical trials.” He added that NWMS 
		has a more robust research program than some academic institutions. Dr. 
		Chaves is also the co-author of a breast cancer clinical trial currently 
		under review.

				When it comes to treating cancer patients, Dr. Chaves takes 
				a personal stance. “I never lose sight that I need to treat the 
				whole person, not just an organ system.” He is excited about the 
				advancements being made in the field including new drugs, cancer 
				vaccines and immunotherapy. 

				
				Dr. Chaves earned his M.D. from The University of Texas, Houston 
				Medical School. He completed his residency at Boston University 
				Medical Center and recently finished his fellowship at Yale 
				Cancer Center in New Haven Connecticut. 

				
				Dr. Chaves is excited to be part of the NWMS team and is
