Today’s
dating world is risky. People meet online and chat by phone
without any real knowledge of the other person’s character. That
unknown is the risk that many people take in search of love. If
you are meeting someone for the first time, you can use
myDateTrackerAlert,
and if you don’t check in by the time that you determined, an
alert with the name, time, and location of your date will be
texted or emailed to your emergency contact(s). You can even
include your contact’s phone number and email address. You
control what information is given, when it is given, and who is
it given to. myDateTrackerAlert ensures that someone that you
trust is sent an alert when you are unable to check-in. It’s
peace of mind. The myDateTrackerAlert iPhone app is free on
Valentine’s Day and a
demo is available at
www.datetrackeralert.com.

How does it work? This is done in two quick steps. First, you identify
the details of your date (who, where, when, and date’s known contact
information). Second, you choose when you know you are safe – this is
your check in time. While on your date, you will receive a text
reminding you to check in before your alert is sent to your emergency
contact(s). By simply clicking the myDateTrackerAlert icon and clicking
on the ‘I’m ok’ button, you have safely checked in. However, if you do
not check in, a text/email will be created from the date information you
entered (companion name, date, time, location) and sent to your
emergency contact(s). If your plans change, you can log into your DTA
and edit the check in time or location of the date. You can even delete
the file if your date cancels. This is much easier than constantly
calling your friends if your plans change or checking in with them after
they have already gone to bed.
Background checks can be helpful, unless your date hasn’t been caught or
committed his first offense yet. GPS location devices on your phone can
help, unless your phone is turned off or is not on your person. DTA
alerts go out even if your phone is turned off. And the fact that
somebody knows you’re missing and has actively started looking for you
is priceless. Safe dating practices can go a long way, but some people
are very good at hiding their dark side. Having the habit of meeting in
a public place is always a good idea, and if you feel the creep vibe or
see red flags, it is best to cancel the date or end it early. Sometimes
you can do everything right and still be fooled. That’s where
myDateTrackerAlert comes in.
